An Elegy for a Fallen Monitor
— A Lament Inspired by the Classical Korean “Jochimmun” (弔針文, 조침문)
In Mourning for a Broken Monitor
Once you were a bright window where the whole world shone;
today a curtain falls, and all my thoughts are gone.
Ten years beside me, and the fondness lingers still;
one dawn your light went out, and tears my collar fill.
