Reading Volume 6, “Bunjinrok” of the Gani-jip, feels less like opening a scholarly text and more like unfolding a personal travel journal written along the road of life. Choi Rip appears not only as a government official or literary figure, but as a human being walking through the world. 『간이집』 제6권 「분진록」을 읽으면, 한 권의 책이라기보다 한 사람의 “길 위의 일기장”을 펼쳐보는 느낌이 든다. 이 글들은 단순히 여행의 기록이 아니라, 길을 걸으며 마주한 사람과 자연, 그리고 그 속에서 조용히 자신을 되돌아보는 사유의 흔적이다.

저자 최립은 관료이자 문인이었지만, 「분진록」 속에서는 직함보다 “길을 걷는 한 인간”으로 다가온다. 그는 강을 건너고, 나루를 지나고, 산과 마을을 오가며 순간순간의 장면을 담담하게 기록한다. 그러나 그 기록 속에는 단순한 풍경 묘사 이상의 것이 있다. 눈에 보이는 세계를 통해 삶의 무게와 인간 존재의 의미를 함께 바라보고 있기 때문이다.

He proposed the world’s first global and universal telecommunications “Service Order Handling (SOH)” Model (T-SOH Model) (1995) with Dr. Adrian Tang. With this innovative research work, he received the IEEE NOMS ’96 Best Paper Award and became the first recipient of the Outstanding Contribution Award of the TeleManagement Forum in 1998. His research areas include Natural Language Processing-focused AI, AI-applied cybersecurity, network and telecom service management, and Korean studies on Gani Choi Rip’s Jeonggwan (靜觀: Quiet Contemplation) philosophy and Shilhak ( 實學: Practical Learning).
