Early Summer Sudden Rain
In early summer gardened hills, soft whispers fall as rain,
Bamboo leaves sing in passing wind, upon the blossoms’ rain.
Evening clouds in emerald tones send down a cooling rain,
Beneath the lamp, by eaves at dusk, I hear the newborn rain.
初夏驟雨 / 초하취우
初夏山庭微細雨 / 초하산정미세우
竹葉鳴風落花雨 / 죽엽명풍락화우
晩雲含翠送涼雨 / 만운함취송량우
夕燈簷下聽新雨 / 석등첨하청신우
초여름 소나기
초여름 산과 뜰에 가늘고 부드러운 비 내리고,
대나무 잎 바람에 울리며 꽃잎 위로 비 떨어지네.
저녁 구름 푸른 기운 머금고 서늘한 비를 보내니,
해질녘 등불 아래 처마 끝 새로 내리는 빗소리 들리네.
운(韻) 설명
각 구의 끝을 모두 ‘雨(우)’로 통일하여,
초여름 소나기의 반복적 리듬과 자연의 순환성을 강조한 칠언절구 한시.
