Early Summer
Soft summer winds fill ponds of emerald light,
Pomegranate blooms breathe fragrance after rain so bright.
Among the woods, birds sing in joyful, lively play,
And living grace flows through the golden end of day.

新夏薰風滿綠塘 / 신하훈풍만록당
榴花帶雨散淸香 / 유화대우산청향
林間百鳥爭春語 / 림간백조쟁춘어
萬物生機入夕陽 / 만물생기입석양
초여름의 싱그러움과 생명의 기운을 담아, 평성 운(陽韻 계열)을 맞춘 칠언절구 한시를 지어 보았습니다.
Infusing the fresh vitality and spirit of early summer, I have composed a seven-character quatrain in classical Chinese verse, harmonized to the Pyeongseong (Yang-yun) rhyme scheme.
초여름
초여름 훈풍이 푸른 연못에 가득하고
석류꽃 비를 머금어 맑은 향기 흩뿌리네.
숲속의 온갖 새들 다투어 봄을 노래하고
만물의 생명 기운 저녁 노을에 스며드네.
